Pauline Oliveros

Due to Pauline Oliveros' holding a position at RPI until her passing, RPI hosts an archive of her materials. I spent the fall of 2025 on a student grant under Stephanie Loveless to archive and itemize her materials for preservation purposes. Materials I archived included audio and data CDs; multiple laptops; VHS, DAT, cassette and other tapes; and various paper materials such as scores and writings. While focusing on preservation, this project gave me a close look at Oliveros and her philosophy on sound and music. My archival work later assisted the cultivation and curation of the Deep Listening radio.
